Chicken Masala Balls


Boneless chicken pieces - 1/2 kg                         
Onions - 1 1/2 (finely sliced)
Cinnamon(pattai) -  2
Cardamom(elakkai) - 3
kirambu) -  5-6  
Cashewnuts -  20 
Green chillis -  5- 6  
Red chillis 4 -5
Garlic -  20
Ginger  - 3 inch (chopped)
coriander leaves - 1/2 cup(chopped)
Coriander seeds -  4 tbsps  
cumin seeds - 
1 1/2 tbsps  
Salt to taste
Oil for deep frying


Heat a tbsp of oil in a pan,add the cumin seeds, coriander seeds, cardamom, cloves, cinnamom, red chillis and cashewnuts and stir for a minute till a nice aroma arise.

Grind the roasted ingredients along with ginger, garlic and green chillis to a paste. 

Then add the chopped onions, coriander leaves, chicken and salt and grind further to form a smooth & thick paste.(Don't add water)

Add a tbsp of oil to the ground paste and mix thoroughly & make it into small lemon sized balls.

Heat oil in a pan for deep frying. Once its piping hot, reduce flame to medium and place these balls in the oil and fry them until they turns into a crisp, golden brown color.


Serve hot with tomato sauce.
